Licensed Assessor
We’re seeking a part-time (build to full-time) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and/or Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP).
This position is based at our office in Lafayette, CA
Our practices focuses on serving neuroatypical/neurodivergent populations, and we serve all ages (predominantly children, as well as teens, adults, and families). Our clients are typically intense, highly sensitive and bright, which we value and love to work with.
We are looking for an independent, self-motivated, and collaborative assessing clinician who will enhance our fun, connected, and positive-minded group of clinicians. The position will be employee status (not hiring a contractor). Assessment must be in your license scope of practice, which includes appropriate assessment training. We will also provide additional assessment training for the right candidate.
Hours
This position starts as part-time with an option to build up to full-time, if desired. This will be a hybrid position, with some hours at-office (Lafayette, CA) and some hours remote.
- Part-time is a minimum of 18 client hours per week plus admin (19-20 hours per work week)
- Full-time is a minimum of 27 client hours per week plus admin (30-35 hours per work week)
Compensation
Licensed Assessor Compensation for assessment services is $110/hr – 126/hr to start, depending upon experience and skill level; and $35 for administrative time (admin time for assessors is pretty much only used for required meetings; most work hours are assessment services)
Part-time Licensed Assessor Compensation Example:
- 20 hr work week: 18 assessment hours plus 2 admin hours per week x 50 weeks is $102,500 – $116,900 gross annually, plus paid sick leave, CE units benefits, and 401K matching (subject to applicable state and federal withholdings; example considered gross hourly assessment wage $110/hr – $126/hr)
Full-time Therapist Supervisor Compensation Example:
- 32 hr work week: 27 assessment hours plus 5 admin hours per week x 50 weeks is $157,250 – $178,850 gross annually, plus health insurance benefits, life insurance benefit, paid sick leave, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, CE units benefits, and 401K matching (subject to applicable state and federal withholdings; example considered gross hourly assessment wage $110/hr – $126/hr)

A big plus if you have
- Comfort with tests and measures for autism, ADHD, cognitive ability, specific learning disabilities, sensory processing, exectuvite functioning, OCD, PTSD, behavior, mood, and anxiety; if you are not familiar with one or more of these testing areas yet are otherwise a strong assessor, please let us know– if you are a great fit for our team we may provide training or we may ask you to obtain outside training, depending upon the testing measure and situation
- Prior knowledge of, and experience working with, neurodivergent populations, including autistic, ADHDers, gifted/2e, learning disabilities/differences, highly sensitive people, and others
- Particular experience/knowledge that will complement our mission of serving neurodivergent populations
