Hello and welcome, my name is Hilary and I am passionate about connecting with people and learning about their lives. I truly value the relationships that I build with people, both professionally and otherwise. To describe myself, I would say that I am gentle, warm, sensitive, and approachable. I also appreciate humor!

My Approach

As a therapist, I strive to approach my therapeutic engagement with compassion and authenticity while using a holistic and strengths based lens. I also believe in maintaining humility for another person’s experience and to always be open to new perceptions as the journey together evolves.

My appreciation and respect for individuals includes being culturally-responsive and mindful of each person’s identity and experiences, and wherever I may lack understanding I will take it upon myself to become more informed.

My Experience and Education

I have additional experience working as a school based mental health clinician, providing therapeutic support for students ages 5-18 years old. In this capacity, I have supported children/youth and families with the IEP or 504 process and provided advocacy to achieve needed accommodations. This experience also gave me exposure to a very diverse range of circumstances and needs.

I have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute. I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #136149), and am working towards completing my hours to become licensed as an LMFT. I am currently being supervised by TheraThrive’s Clinical Director, Katie Malone, LMFT, LPCC.
