I believe the foundation of effective therapy is building a trusting relationship where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment while helping clients develop the tools they need to navigate life's challenges and reach their goals.
My Approach
I believe that therapy, like any meaningful relationship, is built on connection, trust, respect, and authenticity. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, speaking openly, and knowing that you will be heard and understood without judgment.
My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming. I often think of therapy like taking a drive together: you are in the driver’s seat, and I am your passenger. I may help you notice something along the way, suggest a different route, ask questions, or offer tools and a new perspective, yet you know yourself and your life better than anyone else. You ultimately decide where we are going and what feels right for you.
I Work With All Ages
I work with children, teens, adults, and families, with much of my experience centered around children and adolescents. I support clients with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, family and relationship challenges, and school-related concerns. I am especially passionate about working with neurodivergent clients and helping children and teens better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, build confidence, and develop tools that work for their unique needs and experiences.
Therapy In English Or Farsi
I speak Farsi fluently and value working with people from different cultures, backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.
About Me
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 152512), supervised by TheraThrive’s Clinical Director, Katie Malone, LPCC, LMFT. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University and my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling, from Golden Gate University.
Outside of the therapy room, I am a soccer mom who loves traveling with my family, exploring new places, trying new foods, and listening to audiobooks.
